Karima, the wife, was hardened by hardships of life. To her, life is a series of calamities and difficulties. She is so dutiful in protecting her children from the clutches of hunger. As a bread owner of the family, she works as a maid on a daily payment. By the end of the day she goes back home with food for her children.
We approached her, telling her that Penny Appeal and the Humanitarian Forum provided her a food basket and free meals for a whole month. Her eyes filled with tears, and her heart swelled with happiness – she had a good reason for that. “I don’t have to worry about food now. I can save money to buy new clothes for my children and celebrate Eid with them,” she expressed happily. “Thank you Penny Appeal and Humanitarian Forum for this humane gesture,” She finished.
