For the fourth year in a row, the Humanitarian Forum Yemen (HFY) continues its commitment to supporting the most vulnerable populations in Taiz Governorate. This is through the implementation of the “Hot Ramadan Meals Distribution Project” for the year 2026, generously funded by Human Appeal. This initiative reflects an ongoing humanitarian partnership rooted in the values of solidarity and social responsibility.
Throughout Ramadan, the project successfully provided 23,372 hot meals, prepared according to the highest standards of food safety and quality. These efforts aim to alleviate the economic burden on families in greatest need. The project ensured the provision of comprehensive nutritional meals (including grilled chicken, rice, mixed vegetables, bread, and yogurt), with 4 meals allocated per household. Over 5,501 families benefited from this intervention, including impoverished households, low-income families, and persons with disabilities across the districts of Al-Qahirah, Salla, and Al-Mudhaffar.
Furthermore, the assistance extended to include residents of the Psychiatric and Neurological Hospital, as well as kidney failure patients in Al-Iwa house. This response addresses the compounded health and humanitarian challenges they face amidst the difficult conditions currently experienced in Taiz Governorate.
This intervention serves as an urgent humanitarian response that contributes to mitigating acute suffering and fostering community solidarity, ensuring the preservation of human dignity throughout Ramadan.
