Emergency Response for Water and Food Needs for the Most Vulnerable Groups in Taiz, Yemen From 25/6/2020 to 25/9/2020

    The Humanitarian Forum – Yemen implemented the Emergency Response for Water and Food Needs for the Most Vulnerable Groups in Taiz, Yemen project, with Penny Appeal Organization funding in some districts in Taiz Governorate. The project aimed to provide urgent, life-saving support to communities affected by the conflict and the spread of COVID-19 in Taiz through the project activities implementation. About 13 points of Sabeel water were supplied in the directorates of Cairo – Al Mudhaffar – Sallah with drinking water for two months and a half. The beneficiaries’ number of this activity reached about 1786 beneficiaries. Besides, 111 poor and displaced families from Taiz governorate, Cairo, and Sallah districts, were targeted with ready food meals activity. Also, 139 poor and displaced families were targeted with the distribution of integrated food baskets. The total beneficiaries’ number of the project reached 14407 direct beneficiaries.
    This project came in the context of alleviating the human suffering of people in Taiz Governorate, in light of ongoing war and the disruption of livelihoods.
