HFY has successfully concluded its seasonal Qurbani meat distribution project for the year 2026 in Taiz city. Generously funded by Human Appeal, the project targeted 5,259 of the most vulnerable families across the city’s three main districts: Cairo, Salla, and Al-Mudhaffar.
The project succeeded in delivering fresh Qurbani meat to displaced families (IDPs), households supporting persons with disabilities, orphans, teachers, and female-headed households. This timely intervention significantly alleviated their financial burdens amid the ongoing economic hardships, bringing the joy and spirit of Eid Al-Adha into their homes.
Slaughtering, veterinary inspections, and distribution operations were carried out systematically over four consecutive days, running from the first day of Eid until the afternoon of the fourth Eid day. This was achieved through a well-organized field mechanism, ensuring the meat’s safety and reached beneficiaries on time.
This seasonal humanitarian intervention aligns with HFY’s strategic programs aimed at enhancing food security for conflict-affected populations, fostering social solidarity, easing the suffering of families in need, and ensuring they can share the joy of Eid with the rest of the community.
Upon completion of the project, HFY expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to Human Appeal for their continuous and vital support. HFY also highly commended the exceptional efforts of the community committees, and the dedicated field team and volunteers who worked around the clock to ensure the success of this project and the achievement of its noble humanitarian goals.
